Is it possible to protect part of a worksheet? Basically,
I want to allow someone the ability to change data on part
of the worksheet, but not all of it. Is this possible?
Thanks

Kyle

You can unlock the cells you want to allow users to change. Format
Cells, Protection tab, uncheck the Locked checkbox

Hi Kyle

By default all cells are locked when you protect the sheet

Select the cells you want to use
Ctrl-1 (or Format>Cells) and choose the protection Tab and and uncheck locked
Ok
Protect your sheet (Tools-protection-protect sheet)

yes

The cell(s) that you want to allow changes to you would
Select FORMAT, Cell, check off lock.

After you have selected the cells you don't want to be
locked, you would protect the sheet.
TOOLS, PROTECT, Protect Sheet

Try that...
