I saved an essay onto 3.5 floppy, then I transferred all the disc onto cd
rom, I cannot now get the essay from the cd and the 3.5 is deleted does
anyone know how I can get the information off the cd or which program would
be useful to use to get it?

What software procedure did you use to burn the CD? If you
still have the 3.5 inch floppy, there are software recovery
software that can read the floppy.

Have you searched the hard drive on the computer for the
file that was probably created when you burned the CD?

The computer you are trying to read the CD on needs to have a compatible
word processing program on it. Is that the case?
Can you tell us exactly what you meant by:
"I cannot get the essay from the CD"
What error message appeared?
What did or did not happen, and when?

MS Works word processor is not part of WIndows. It never was! You will
need to install the MS Works word processor onto you XP PC before you can
read your essay.

Please help us to help you. What does "I cannot now get the essay
from the cd" mean? How did you try? What happens when you try? If
you get an error message, please quote it verbatim.
