Works/Office Problem

New emachine with windows XP has Microsoft Works
preinstalled. Before opening in and accepting the license
agreement, I installed Microsoft Office. Now I get a
message that the license agreement cannot be displayed
and I must reinstall Microsoft works. Will there be a
problem with the operation of Microsoft Office,
especially Word, if I choose to uninstall microsoft
works? Are there any other options to getting works
opened without a reinstall?

I would suggest Uninstalling Microsoft Office and the Microsoft Works.. Then
Installing the set of apps you want to use (likely Microsoft Office.)
