To everyone,
I posted this to the Works group but didn't get a response. Can anyone
help??
I recently added 2 new work stations to a clients network. They have several
Access and Works 7.0 databases. They are saying that ever since I added the
2 new workstations, only one person can open the Works database at a time.
They get an error stating the file is in use or read only. Before I added
the new workstations, they say they could.
I looked on the server and didn't see the familiar file locks as with an
Access database. I'm not that familiar with Works but I'm assuming that
since it's geared for home use, database sharing isn't possible.
Is my client mistaken? If so, does anyone have a URL stating such? It's a
delicate issue having to tell a client that they never could have multiple
users in a Works 7.0 database.
Thanks,
Tom
