Sorry but your post isn't very clear.
- If you installed over an existing OS, you need to find the shortcuts for
Word or other programs and all should be well.
- If you did a clean install or created a "new install" (not installing in
the same Windows folder that the prior OS occupies), then Word and other
programs will all have to be re-installed. And you will need your PK for
each program to do this.
So your solution will vary depending on what the problem really is:
- If the programs are still installed on the HDD and you lost the folders
with the PKs printed on them, you can DL/Run AIDA32 a free utility from
www.aida32.hu and go to the Software Licensing area and write down the
various PKs for your software (and keep them in a secure place).
- If the programs are no longer installed on the HDD and you don't have the
PKs, you will need to contact MS' Customer Service (if the SW was Retail)
and provide some sort of proof of ownership. They should be able to help
you. US number is (800) 426-9400 or call your local MS subsidiary if outside
the US. If the SW was OEM, you will need to contact the mfr of your computer
(as MS does NOT provide support for OEM SW, it is the responsibility of the
computer mfr).
