working with < and >

Hi
Is there a way of showing < and > in a formula? I need
to check a number against a range of numbers
e.g. 1200 against <1000, <1001-1500, <1501-2000

You can use > and <.
But although you don't give an awful lot of details, it looks like you need
the VLOOKUP function. Look in Help for details.
