No one can access another computer on our network. I've checked it and
everything looks ok. I also followed the steps in Q318030/KnowledgeBase.
Nothing works! The error message we get are:\\Computer Name is not
accessible. "You might not have permission to use this network resource.
Contact Administrator of this server to find out if you have access
permissions." I'm responsible for the computer and as far as I can tell
there are no permissions set???

Any ideas you might have would be greatly appreciated.

The first thing to look for is an improperly configured firewall on the
computer itself. Make sure you don't have two firewalls running such as
a third-party firewall, something like Norton Internet Worm Protection,
and the Windows Firewall (Service Pack 2).

The only firewall I can find is windows and it looks like file and printer
sharing is set up ok. Any other places you can think of where permission
might be restricted?

And you don't have an "Internet Worm Protection" feature from your
antivirus? Since I don't know what combination of operating systems you
are using, and if only XP whether Home or Pro, here is a link to an
excellent network troubleshooter by MVP Hans-Georg Michna:

http://www.michna.com/kb/wxnet.htm

Take the time to go through it and it will pinpoint the problem area(s).
