Workflow

I'm finding it quite hard to find quickstarts etc (especially videos) of
anything more complicated than a Hello World example of a Workflow app.
Anything I find is at least 2 years old.

I'm particularly interested in seeing how I can use WF as an approach to
writing an application layer for task driven applications, so hibernating to
DB and restoring whenever some input is received is important to me.

Can anyone recommend any?
