I'm refering to the e-mail button on the "standard" tool bar which, when
pressed causes E-mail header forms for To: and From: and Cc: along with a
button to "Send a Copy" to drop down.

This is for a coworker. This button is present on other machines on our
network so I don't think it is a Network permissions issue . Outlook is her
default mail client.

What would cause this?

Thanks
Jim.

I guess I don't know what e-mail button you are talking about. I use Word
2000 and my standard toolbar doesn't have an e-mail button. Perhaps you can
share what version of Word you are speaking about?

"This is in all versions of Word above '97 but the version I'm refering to is
2000.
The button is in the standard toolbar for xp and 03 in 2000 i don't know if
it was added manualy or not.

If you right click on a word tool bar and choose cusomize you will find this
button under the file catagory. The command or button is labeled "send now"
or "mail recepiant" both do the same thing as far as I can tell.

thanks
