1. Can anyone please advise me on how to install the
left hand ruler in wordprocessing documents.

2. How to bring up additional wordprocessing icons for
applications such as spell check etc. The range in Word
NT seems to be more extensive than in XP.

Thanks

"Word NT"? What is that? Microsoft Word is a word processing
application. Windows NT and Windows XP are operating systems, neither
of which come with a word processing application installed. If you are
using Microsoft Word and have questions about it, post in one of the
newsgroups for Word (this newsgroup is for the operating system).
Here's a list of all the MS newsgroups so you can find the right one
for your problems:

1.
First, you have to be in Print Layout View in MS Word to see the vertical
ruler.
View | Print Layout

Second, Tools | Options | View tab | Check:
Vertical ruler (Print view only) | OK

[[Displays the vertical ruler on the left side of the document window. Make
sure that Ruler is selected on the View menu.]]

2.
