wordperfect will not get off the small window that is
used for print preview. can't get back to regular window
to use document

Oh, you were asking how to fix this, perhaps? Well, for one thing, this
is a Windows XP forum, not a WP one, and for another, you did not even
bother to submit the minor detail as to what version of WP, along with
the updated information pertaining thereto.
I suggest that you try posting on cs.news.corel.com, where you'll find
all sorts of usergroups, including, most likely, one for whatever
version of WP you are using.
