Is it possible to disable "smooth scrolling" in Wordpad? Thank you for your
help.

Hi Biff33,

I just looked in Wordpad and I did not see anything in Help or in the
program options, but if you want to turn off smooth scrolling in
Windows, try this. Right click my computer, click properties, click on
the advanced tab, click the settings button under performance, and
untick smooth scroll list boxes. You might also find the below link
helpful. Hope this helps.

Hi Tiktoor,
Thank you for your reply, but I already have smooth scrolling turned off in
IE; unfortunately, it still drives me crazy in Wordpad!

Have you checked in your mouse settings? Not sure if it might be there
but mabey smooth scroll for applications setting is in there depending
on your mouse driver options. You may also consider trying to reboot
after you make sone of these changes. I'm not sure what else to
suggest. It does seem that smooth scrolling in wordpad is enabled by
default, and it does seem terribly annoying! I'm sorry I couldn't be of
more help, mabey someone else can. Good luck!

Hi tiktoor,
I have just looked in my mouse settings as you suggested, but there is
nothing there to solve the problem. (Oddly, Microsoft Works does not have
smooth scrolling enabled by default.) Thanks anyway!
