You would have to buy Word. The cheapest way is as part of Works Suite, or
check for student versions of Office or see if your school has a special
deal.
However, WordPerfect will let you save your documents as RTF, which your
teacher will be able to open. WordPerfect might even let you save your
documents as Word. Check the options in the Save dialog, or check
WordPerfect Help.
Not sure what version you have, but Word Perfect 12 (per their web site)
says that it can create Adobe PDF files. If your teacher PDF files so
that you hand-in "finished" work (not source files). The teacher can
use Adobe Reader to read your work at highest quality and without risk
of change.
As others said, if Teacher expects to use his/her own copy of Word to
read your work, then output fro Word Perfect in some format that Word
can read. These formats include:
1. Word Perfect format (yes, Word can read that format ... teach can
easily install the filter from Word's setup program)
2. RTF
3. HTML
4. Word ... I am guessing Word Perfect can output in Word DOC format.
Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.
