word unique identifier

I am aware of this feature in Office 97, does Office XP still have an
invisible unique identifier enabled by default, or which can be
enabled? If I want to enable it for tracking purposes can this be
done? How? If I want to distribute Word documents to other domains, I
wish to be able to enforce copywrite.

I believe later versions of Word still have this, or something similar.
Exactly what, I can't say. You may need to contact MS support for details.
