word to access

i have a contact list in a word file in the format: last name, name, address,
tel number.
there are about 3000 such lines with names adresses ect.
is there an easy way to convert this to an access file

Have you tried copy/paste? It really may be that simple.

If you have "3000 ... lines", are you quite certain that every "contact" has
the same number of lines? If so, consider converting the text lines into a
Word table, then importing that table into Access. You might have to first
import to Excel, then into Access.

"IF" each of the 3000 rows is "EXACTLY" in the format: last name, name,
address and is comma separated, then save the file as plain text with the
extension CSV and use the "Get External Data" wizard.

Could you post an example? Is it something like this?

FirstName LastName
Address 1
Address 2
City, State ZipCode

or are all the parts on a single line in your document? Once you post
a couple of examples (enough to show a pattern), someone should be
able to help you better. Is your data in a table?
