word templates

does anyone know why word will run slowly when no other
application does ona network when the workgroup templates
all pointing at a central store of templates on the
server? is there a limit on the number of templates and
tamplate tab you cna have?

There is not a limit to the number of templates or folders in the workgroup
or user templates folders. These folders become tabs up to the limit of two
rows of tabs on the File New dialog. If there are more folders than there is
room for tabs, another tab "More" shows up at the top right. It allows
access to all folders.
