Word specific code for font

I have bad hobby that consistently change font size, color, and style as
reminder for me about what I have done, what I going to do with text or what
is the purpose I add that part of text; however it also leave a Word specific
code to that part of text that I have changed.

When my advisor open my Word document in other word processing softward
(WordPerfect), those Word specific code cause some problem for him to read
and modify my document.
He also try to do some change on my document in Word, but probably because
of those code, he often got different font size, color, and style. That is
one reason he use WordPerfect so he can identify those code.

Can I have Word show up those code so I can clean up some mass I left behind.
 
Word is a style based application and does not use formatting codes, so the
exercise with WordPerfect is useless.

But a Word document opened in WordPerfect (converted) will in fact show
those codes.
