Word slow to open

Hi, I am running a Win 98 computer with Office 97. When I launch Word it
opens very slow. Also after opening a document no changes made, it always
asks "Do you want to save changes made".
Please help.

If this were Office 2000 or above, I'd say the problem was caused by the
Office Plug-in in Norton AntiVirus, but this would not apply to Word 97.
Most likely the problem is some other add-in, however.

I am not using Norton. Any other suggetions? No Anti Virus Software on the
system.
