I am trying to format a document with the word US-VISIT and do not want it to break at the end of a line. How do I make this happen?

AimeeLou, use a nonbreaking hyphen. The keystroke is Ctrl+_. Or you can go
through the menu: Insert > Symbol > Special Characters > Nonbreaking Hypen >
Insert.

DDM - Thanks for the reply, but I am still having problems. Let's say it is a very large document with the word US-VISIT used can I use find and replace? So what you are saying is that every time that the word US-VISIT is used we should use a nonbreaking hyphen? Can I do a search and replace with a non-breaking hyphen?

Of course - replace
US-VISIT
with
US^~VISIT

To save problems when typing this in future setup an autocorrect to replace
a keyboard entered US-VISIT with the required version c/w non-breaking
hyphen.
