Hi all
My setup is Windows XP, SP1 with Office 2003.
I do a lot of drafting in Word. I use the mouse wheel to scroll up and down
constantly.
Periodically, I do something that triggers a change in behaviour in the
mouse wheel such that the wheel scrolls left and right instead of up and
down. I have no idea what sequence of actions triggers this, and I am always
unable to undo such sequence to return the mouse wheel to up and down
behaviour. I then have to use page up and page down until I accidentally
execute the magic undo'ing sequence (sometimes as much as one hour later!)
at which point the wheel starts acting in an up and down fashion, as I
desire.
Previously I discovered that if I had track changes turned on this behaviour
occurs. This is happening in other circumstances as well.
Does anyone have any clues as to how to control this type of wheel
behaviour?
TIA
Sarah
