Situation - PC, Windows 2000, 512 MB RAM, Office 200
FIle size - about 140 MB, including graphics (which have all been de-resolutioned to about 100 dpi)
Problem - graphics don't display except for the first maybe dozen. error message is insufficient memory to display or print graphics. HOWEVER - task manager says word + operating system are using about 140 MB of memory TOTAL, (leaving 380 or so of RAM (not swap file, RAM) available .
1) why is word "running out" of memory when there's clearly 0.3 GB of ram fre
2) is there an upper limit or a cache size that needs tweaking - (I already turned up the BitMap cache or buffer and it didn't help.

Hi Matt,

Try linking to the graphics rather than embedding them - makes for smaller
file sizes and may help with your resource issues.

Cheers
