word is not able to save documents

I am using office 2003. I am not able to save documents in word. only office
word is having this problem. when I click on save after I compleate a
document. there is no any response. and I try to close the document I get the
message " do you want to save the changes" and click on yes nothing happend.
Anybody ever experiance this kinkd of a problem. How can I fix this.

If you hold down CTRL while starting Word, to start in Safe Mode, does the
problem persist, or does it go away?

If it goes away, then you know that some kind of addin, either a COM DLL or a
template, is causing the problem.
