WORD in Windows XP does not work

I use Windows XP also I have OFFICE XP too.

I have noticed that my Spell checker in WORD does not work, not really used
word much to notice it. but as I have been using more lately I found out.

when I click spell-check it just highlights a word and that's all, I can
still use word, it just wont spell-check.

any suggestions how I can get it to work again, I have looked at some of the
settings but can not find out why it is not working.

spell checker works ok with everything but WORD.

I have looked at the links you have given but can not find anything about
WORD2002 not spellchecking, only about Outlook Express.

or am I missing it?

You do have a language format in your docs. If marked no language then no spell check.
In Tools - Language
 
thank you

it was on UK and US, still tried to change it, end set the default, still
does not work.


I have also tried to do a find and repair, still nothing.

any other ideas?
