I'm attempting to make an application form that will be saved to our website
that others can download and complete in word. How can I lock it so that
none of the static text moves. I've tried form fields, tables, form fields
inside tables, but they automatically move to fit in text and mess up my
layout by running over onto the next page. What do I do??

You need to fix the size of the containing table cells so that they don't
adjust to the content. What you are talking about is what Word calls an
"online form." For more about online forms, follow the links at
http://addbalance.com/word/wordwebresources.htm#Forms or
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/FillinTheBlanks.htm especially Dian
Chapman's series of articles. These links will give you examples.

Hope this helps,
