I copied a Word 2003 document and pasted it into a WordPad document. Now every Word document on my hard drive has been converted to a WordPad document. How could this happen, and what can I do to change my documents back to Word
Please help.

Try Right Clicking on a File in Windows Explorer. You should be able to choose what program that file (type) will open up with. Make sure it's set to Word

The files haven't been converted: it's just the file association in Windows
Explorer. Start Explorer and go to Folder Options (Tools menu in W2000). Go
to the File Types tab; find DOC in the Registered file types list, click
Change, select Word.
