Hi all,

where may I find informations about tag used in word for date hour, references to tables and so on?
I would know the options Word2000 comes with and eventually customize my documents with these features?

Can I hide some paragraphs after a specified date?

Hope not to be OT.

Thanks a lot,

Alex.

Well, you'll find pretty good information on fields and field codes within Word's Help.
Best place to start would probably be in the Insert/Field dialog box. And if you're not
using Word 2003, you should be able to click the "?" button at the top right, then click
a field name to get Help on the field.
Can I hide some paragraphs after a specified date?
Only using VBA (a macro), or possibly an IF field (Word doesn't deal with date
comparisons very well, which is why I say possibly; depends on the comparison you want to
make)

Hi Cindy,
I've been finding for a _list_ of field codes and _especially_ their options/switch(?) ( like \*
lower to uncapitalize the field). Perhaps there could be something interesting:)
How can I get it? Just putting "tags" in the dialog box of Word help?

Which keys do I need to search on google to know more about them? I'm using the italian version of
word 2000, so may you tell me if "field codes" are the right way?
Thanks a lot.
Ciao Alex.

For general information on date fields, see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFldsFms/DateFields.htm. The specific picture
switch you mention (\* lower) is not associated with date fields in
particular. Look in Help under "Format (\*) field switch," which includes
information on capitalization, number, and character formats. "Number
formats" are different from numeric picture formats, which you can find
information about in the "Numeric Picture (\#) field switch" Help topic.

Insert/Field contains the entire list of fields. Click on a field, then click "Options" to see the
switches. And, as I said before, click the "?" at the top right (next to the "X"), then click on a
field name to open the Help to the topic for that field.
