Upgraded W98SE to XP Pro without problems, Word and Excel worked ok. Now have
changed file system to NTFS and fitted new HDD. Whe I now start either Word
or Excel, a "Windows Installer" message appears, asking me to insert the
Office 2000 Premium disc, which I don't have.

If I close the messages, both applications work ok, but it's a bit of a
nuisance. Does anyone know how I can workaround this issue please?

TIA, Francododds

Thanks Carey. Both links look to be hazardous for an amateur like me. Can you
give me a bit more info on which solution I should try first please? Thanks

Only way to get rid of the messages is with the discs.

If you still have a retail version of Office you may be able to get
replacement discs from Microsoft as long as you have proof of purchase (See
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326246/). This is highly unlikely as
Microsoft don't support Office 2000 anymore.
