When I send an E-mail with a Word attachment, some people have responded
saying they didn't receive the attachment. Although when I check my sent
files folder the attachment appears and I have also sent the file to another
computer on my peer to peer network and the attachment appears. I am using
Microsoft Outlook 2000 SP-3, Microsoft Word 2000 (9.0.6926 SP-3), and
Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 1.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you change your message format in Tools | Options | Mail Format to
Plain-Text or HTML, does it exhibit the same behavior?

I am having this same problem. I have disabled the Word
editor, I have changed the format to plain text in the
manner you described as well as for each individual
contact and to no avail. They still get winmail.dat files
regardless of the type of attachment I sent (.doc,.jpg,
etc...) ANd like the other poster, it appears fine in my
sent folder and the attachments arrive as the proper
attachment to me, but not to anyone else.
