Is there anyway I can turn off Comments in a Word Document other than going
thru each document and deleting each comment?
 
Try going to View and clicking Markup. This toggles comments on and off.
Another way is to open the Reviewing Toolbar (View, Toolbars). You can then
select Final, Final with Markup and other variations. There is also an
add-in for Office 2002 and 2003 and certain other applications which will
delete all hidden data from our document, including comments, but it may be
a lot more than you want. Click Here to check it out.

If you have Word 2002 or 2003, click on the arrow beside the Delete Comment
button on the Reviewing toolbar and choose the command to Delete All
Comments in Document.
