Each time I save a document I have been working on, a backup copy of it
appears in the folder file-list. How can I stop the backup copies from
appearing?

One day, before too long, you will be thankful for the backup. It only takes
a few moments to delete unwanted backup files now and again, and they take
up little disc space. I urge you to leave this function switched on.

Thank you for your advice, Mary. I followed the directions you gave, but I
couldn't find the Save Tab option when I clicked on Options. Is it hidden
somewhere?
