Hi all,
Im currently experiencing a problem with my users complaining that their
word documents are formatted differently depending on which workstation
opens the file.
They are all running clean installs of WinXP SP2 and Office 2003 PRO. Files
are all stored on a file server accessible to all with full control.
This has been going on for quite some time even while we were running Office
XP pro, and they are quite frustrated by it. I've yet to find a solution.
Is there anyone out there who can help me with this?

Thanks in Advance

Do they all use the same printer driver?
Word automatically reformats the document on open for the Windows default
printer.

They all have the same default printer.

That's not what Genine asked. There can be many drivers for the same
printer, and if different operating systems are involved, the drivers will
definitely be different.

Sorry its a shared network printer on a server, so they all have the same
driver installed.

If the driver is not installed locally, this can cause other problems
working in Word.

The driver has to be installed locally in order for them to print. The
driver is downloaded and installed via the directory the first time they
connect to the printer.
