Word Doc wont go away

I don't know how I did this, but here's the sitch.
I was at the end of an email about to be sent out form hotmail, but the page
froze ( i think MS was in the middle of updating), so I saved the text to a
word file so i could paste it after I reloaded the hotmail page and logged
in. message sent.
Problem: now everytime I start the Word prgram, it automatically displays
that email msg as document 1. I ve tried to delete but it is still there
everytime I start Word again. I WANT IT TO GO AWAY. any suggestions?
