Word doc takes ages to open on another computer

When I send a word document by email to somebody and he opens it on his
computer, it takes a long time to open.
Could it be, that the word doc is searching for the template on his
computer??

Anybody has an idea how to manage this problem?

this is quite likely, yes.

Assuming the recipient doesn't even have the template, you could go to
Tools/Templates and Addins and attach it there to Normal.dot (which every
user has). (Then perhaps use File/Save As to make a copy, so that your
original isn't changed.)
