word creates a copy of file with ~$ sign

Hello

While I opening any word files it creates one duplicate file with the sign
~$<filename>. I will have to delete it each time. Could you please help me to
resolve the problem. It wasn't there before but recently I am facing this
problem.

This is supposed to happen. Do not delete these files unless they remain
after Word is closed - which they shouldn't. You are seeing them because of
your chosen display options. Ignore them!
