My spreadsheet contains several drawings and word art. When working in the
document I cannot see any of them. They do not show up in print preview
either, but they do show up when I print.

I've checked my options and view and the show all box is checked.

When I put the cursor on the area of a drawing or word art, it turns into a
4 point arrow and the outline of the box shows up, so I know its there. And
like I said, it does print out.

This is office 2003 on winxp pro sp2. everything is up to date and no virus
or spyware.
This must be a setting, but where?

Might be this problem........................

The Windows High Contrast setting.

Read this KB article.

The fill color, the fill pattern, or the line color of a WordArt or
AutoShape object in an Office document does not change

ahh, great thought, but unfortunately (or fortunately) the high contrast
wasn't checked.

back to the drawing board (pardon the pun) ....

This is how I fixed the missing graphics issue.

Logged on to the pc as the local admin, changed the user's profile to (.old)
so that it would still be there if I needed it.

Had user log back on to create new profile, opened same file in same
location and it worked!

Copied users docs, favorites, and desktop and away we go.

Thanks for the responses and hope this helps others.
