Hello Everyone,

I am using Word 2003 and it is adding the a % (Percent)
symbol in the file name. This is happening when a file is
saved to the floppy drive. Can anyone help?

Ray.

Never save Word documents directly to a floppy! Corruption is inevitable:
sooner or later (usually sooner) you will LOSE THE DOCUMENT. Save to your
hard drive then use Explorer to copy to floppy.

Your file name is NOT in consecutive spaces. You have left BLANK spaces in
the name.
Ex:

My doument page
Word and IE convert to My%20document%20page, or some such nonesense.

Save the file as; Mydoucmentpage or MyDocumentPage or even attempt to limit
your file names back to the old 8-3.

DO HOWEVER take heed of the previously supplied reply of NOT saving Word to
floppies.
