word 97 doc Formatingforma

Dear Sirs
i have office 2003, and when i try to open a documat has made by word 97,
all its format changes ( i mean font coulor and some other things ).

so can you help me by telling me how to open these documents from word 2003
without this changin

Open this document and look in Tools/Templates and Add-ins. There's a
checkbox in the dialog box about updating styles automatically. Is this
activated? If it is, the behavior you're seeing is because the person who
last worked with the document had different style definitions than the
template being found on your machine.

The document will have to be opened on the original machine and this
deactivated.
