Is Word XP backward compatible enough that it can open and run older Word 97 files? I am unable to open some older files of mine and am trying to determine possibilities
Yes, you should be able to open Word 97 files in Word 2002. If you're
getting a message that the file is "unavailable," you may just need to
disable the Office Plug-in in Norton AntiVirus.
