I have four templates I open at once in word97. I have them all open in
their separate windows and I selectively use each template in succession.

Is there a way to save all of these into one file as opposed to having
to open four separate templates and then click on window\arrange all

Thanks
Rickt

Why do you have these templates "open"? The usual way to use templates is to
create new documents based on them.

I am creating new documents based on them. I am creating labels for
microfilm boxes. I have one template for Nov-Jan, Feb-Apr, May-Jul, and
Aug-Oct. On each of these I'll change a date and/or year and other
pertinent info stays the same.

My question simply is: Is there a way to open these four templates or
four duplicate files, all at once and have them openly arranged so I can
see them (like window\arrange all). Perhaps a batch script or something
to open them if it is not possible to 'save' them as they appear when
all are opened.

If you have them "open" you are not using them the way Word intends
templates to be used. If they are true templates (*.dot files), then they
are saved in the Templates folder, and you use File New to create new
documents based on them. You can tile those four documents if desired
(Arrange All is a good start).
