Word 2K3 highlighting bug?

I am using Word 2003 and when I highlight a small portion of text and set it
to bold or italics, whether it is a sentence or paragraph, the whole document
is set to this way. It is random though and only started since upgrading to
2003. I have tried
SP1 and still random on full document. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not a bug, just an unfortunate option setting. See
