When I have completed a document I have to close the program and reopen it to
get to the next document I want. I don't have a double screen like in Excel.
Can any help?

If you click the Office button, you should be able to see the Open command;
click it, and you can then open a different document. Or click New if you
are trying to create a new document.

Alternatively, use the keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+O for Open and Ctrl+N for
New Blank Document).

By default, when you close the last open document in Word 2007 (using the X
in the upper right corner), the application closes. To prevent this, add the
Close button to the QAT (to close just the document) or use Office Button |
Close or the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+F4.

Then you can use the Office Button or the shortcuts Stefan mentioned to open
another existing document or create a new one. Note also that up to 50
existing documents can be listed on the Office Button menu, and you can add
the Open and New buttons to your QAT.
