How do I insert a revision date for a page in the footer without it showing
up in all pages? Thanks for your help. Myers5515

The whole idea of putting text in the footer is to have it repeat on every
page. The only way to have a footer on a single page is to put the page in a
section by itself.

Two other options... You could use something other than a footer, such as a
footnote. Or... put the date into a floating text box (turn off the textbox
border/line), then drag the textbox so that it appears to be in the same
area as the footer, but is really in the drawing layer. That way, it will
appear only on the page where it was inserted/dragged to.

The problem with any of these solutions is that "Word doesn't know what a
page is" (see http://daiya.mvps.org/wordpages.htm), but either a footnote or
a text box anchored to the specific revised text should travel with it, so
it might be acceptable.
