Clicking the Word Options button in Word 2007 results in no dialog appearing
and no error messages, either. (No, the dialog is not hidden behind other
windows, it just does not appear.)

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this problem?

Reboot your computer and try again?
Do you get the options dialog in Excel?

Tried that, made no difference.

Nope. Only the new PowerPoint shows the Options dialog. Word, Excel, and
Access will not. Really strange. The cursor briefly changes its image, the
menu goes away, but no dialog appears (except for PowerPoint).

Hi Bob,

It's possible that the dialog is opening off screen or that your graphics card settings may be in play or an add-in is interfering.

If you start Word 2007 in Office Safe Mode (hold ctrl key when starting Word) can you get to the Options dialog box using the
Alt+T+o keyboard shortcut?

None of that worked, even after unloading all non-essential programs and
services.

The dialog does not seem to be coming up off screen because everything else
is clickable immediately afer selecting the Options button, and that would
not happen if a modal dialog were off screen somewhere.

I sent a message to the product development team. Thanks for the links.
