Word 2003 templates used in Word 2000

We are unable to use or Word 2003 template in our
computers that have Word 2000. Any suggestions?

In theory, a template created in Word 2003 will work in Word 2000,
except to the extent that the template uses functionality that didn't
exist in Word 2000.

What behaviour is Word 2000 displaying that makes the template unusable?
Are you getting error messages? If so, what are they?
