Word 2003 Mail Merge

I recently upgraded to Word 2003 and have not been able to create a new mail
merge document. I get the following message:

This operation cannot be completed because of dialog or database failures.
Please try again later.

Can anyone help?

If you are using an Excel spreadsheet as your data source, make sure that
the option in Excel to "Ignore other applications" is not checked.
