Nino

I have not been able to print my Word document since
installation.
the following error message occurs
" The macros in this project are disabled. Please refer to
the online help or document of the host application to
determine how to enable macros."

Macros are disabled if the macro security level is set to high. Set it to
Medium and set the security to trust all installed templates and add-ins. If
this is not *your* document it would be worth investigating what the macros
are before allowing them to run.

Thank you for responding.
I have made the changes (secdurity level to medium and
trust all installed templates) as per your recommendation
but the error message message still appears when I try to
print.
I made these change in Word --> Tools --> Macrro -->
Security and then the appropriate tabs.
Are there any other settings that may need to be changed?
Nino

I have just closed Word and then reopened it and the
setting evidently came into effect and Word is now
printing. Thank you so much.
Nino

Now, although I am able to print my documents each time I
start Word the following error message appears "C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office 11\Startup\bdstart.dot" contains
macros.
My choices are 'Disable Macrros or Enable Macros or More
Info"...
What settings do I need to change so that I don't get
these error messages each time I stat up Word?
Nino

You've evidently got By Design Office installed. It was intended for an
earlier version of Word and won't run properly even under Word 97, much less
a later version. Remove bdstart.dot from the Office Startup folder.
