i need to edit my normal dot in word 2003 BUT when i try to open the
application data file it is not visible in my user folder.

ideas how to view this. i have "view all folders" checked.

i can see the application folder in dreamweaver, photoshop and etc but I
cannot see in any office program.

I have office 2003 professional, with service pack sp2, win xp with all
current updates and service packs

gracias

If you don't get an answer here remember that there are many Office and Word
newsgroups. Your question is not really an XP question.

Open Explorer and navigate to (on a typical install):
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates
where USERNAME is your profile name. Dbl-click on the file and then
edit it.

Make sure in Explorer you have Tools, Folder Options, View tab, under
"Hidden files and folders" is set to "Show hidden files and folders".
The wording is different than you used, so I wanted to be sure.

Why ask HERE? Ask in a group with Office or Word in the title.
Notice this group lacks those words.

Ask elsewhere.
