I have a perfectly fine version of Office XP/2002 on my Win2K computer, and I
have no problems with it, nor with opening any .doc files. But, when I create
a document and email it to someone as a .doc file, they are almost always
unable to open it on their end, no matter if they are running Word 2000,
2002, or 2003.
However, if I then open the document on a different computer running Word
2000, change something, save it again, and then email it - that person can
then read the file fine.
This has become a huge problem for me (I work in a small business), as it
takes a lot of time out of my day to have to change computers or just convert
the document to pdf before sending it.
Any help or guidance to find a solution or workaround would be much
appreciated.
