Word 2002 - how do I speed up opening and closing documents across Workgroup
of 13 users?
documents take up to one and half minutes to open and close
 
A very similar question was asked not very long ago. My reply was very
much like this:

Check to see what printer is selected as default and make sure it is
always available to the affected computers. Also, make sure that any
mapped networked drives that were or are used for opening or saving
documents.
