Word 2000 locking up with error message

Hi,
I've just noticed in the past few days that MS Word 2000
(operating in Windows Me)with NSW and NIS, as well as
spysweeper running...not sure if this matters...but MS
Word 2000 will suddenly have a white box appear that has
only one option to "close" with no error message...I have
seen this size error box before, and it usually has a
message with option to ignore or close, but this one just
has option to close, and once you close it you have to
open Word again, and most of the time it is best to reboot
before I open it. This is becoming very aggravating
because it is time consuming. Thanks for any advice. Of
note, these kinds of problems seemed to happen when I
installed the following: NSW and NIW and Spysweeper,
although I don't think that Spysweeper has anything to do
with these problems. Thanks!
 
hi, i disabled the office plug that came with NSW a week
or so ago, and it is still giving me the error box. It
happens if I leave Microsoft Word open in a document idle
for a while, like if I get up to do something for 15
minutes....when I come back it has that lovely white box
that says "CLOSE" with no other option, and when I hit
close it shuts down MS Word. It has happened about 3
times today already. Any ideas? Thanks so much!!
